The wait is over! Activision Blizzard has officially announced the arrival of The Burning Crusade expansion to WoW Classic, the first major expansion for this MMORPG that added significant modifications to the experience.
The announcement was made during BlizzCon 2021, which had to be held fully online this year due to restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Players will have to cross the Dark Portal again and travel to Outland to face this complex new challenge. However, the developer has not yet dared to reveal a release date for this expansion.
An exciting story.
As for the main story, the inhabitants of Azeroth encounter a new wave of the Burning Legion that wants to invade their lands. This was all the work of Kazzak, Lord of Doom and senior partner of the evil Kil’Jaeden, an apocalyptic guard who used the ancient relic to open the Dark Portal and lay a new threat on the world.
Players will have the mission to stop the invasion and will have to enter the portal to avoid the destruction of Azeroth. However, they will have to face a huge number of orcs to try to reach their goal.
What they don’t know is that something even worse awaits them inside the portal. A new army commanded by Lady Vashj and Kael’thas that has been assembled to reinforce Illidan’s forces.
TBC a trip to nostalgia from a decade ago.
The Burning Crusade was the first major paid expansion to come to World of Warcraft to change everything, making it more accessible to new players and improving some basic mechanics that made the game excessively cruel and difficult, although it didn’t make it as easy as the most recent games.
The expansion adds two new races: Blood Elves and Draenei. Players from the Alliance can now choose the Shaman class and those from the Horde faction can be Paladins.
Logically, the territories where these new races inhabit were also added: Azuremyst Isle and the Eternal Song Forest.
In this case, no change to gold earning has been announced, so you’ll be able to buy warcraft classic gold at goldpiles without a problem once TBC arrives in WoW Classic.
As if that were not enough, The Burning Crusade also added the profession of jeweler. With this new activity players can learn the art of creating rings, necklaces and gems that can be worn equipped and will improve your character’s skills.
And of course, how can we forget it? TBC allows us to fly over Outland. To do this, players must purchase a flying mount that will allow them to quickly collect objects from professions and travel much faster to their destination.
TBC also adds a new battlefield for WoW Classic’s PvP section where 15v15 battles are allowed. In addition, it also added the Combat Sands.
However, it is still unknown if this new version of The Burning Crusade will maintain the same level of difficulty that its bosses had previously. Bosses are probably easier to defeat than before, just like Kel’Thuzad in Naxxramas.
WoW Classic is now available worldwide on Microsoft Windows PC and MAC OS.
